Voltage released by power sockets in Hotels / Restaurants / Lodges is 220/240v. Because American and Canadian voltage is generally 110V, a power converter/stabilizer may be necessary for your travels. Adapters will also be necessary to adapt/connect your device to the power outlet but may not convert the voltage, so both gadgets are necessary.
