The Kabaka’s Lake

The largest excavated lake in Africa and arguably one of Kampala’s top attractions, the Lake is located in Ndeeba, between Ring Road and Nabunya Road. This Lake was excavated on the orders of Kabaka Mwanga in the 1880’s as his “escape corridor” to Lake Victoria.
