ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer

On arrival in Uganda for your 15 days safari holiday, you will be met by a Kent safaris representative at Entebbe Airport who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Kampala City Tour
You will enjoy breakfast before embarking on a tour around Kampala City (Uganda’s capital). This will encompass site visits to the Bahai temple – the only of its kind in Africa and among the eight Bahai temples in the whole world, the Uganda martyr’s shrine Namugongo, Uganda museum, Kabaka’s lake and the craft village among others. You will then have lunch and later be transferred back to hotel.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls
After breakfast, you will drive to Murchison falls national park. This 305km journey will take you around 5 hours from Kampala. You will enter through Kichumbanyobo gate, Paraa a distance of about 85km from Masindi town – the shortest route. You will visit the top of the falls and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and lunch cruise
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a lunch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the Nile river with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe.

Day 5: Transfer from Murchison – Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast before embarking on a journey to Kibale National Park. This is a full day drive and you will have lunch enroute.
Overnight: Chimpanzee forest guest house, Kyaninga Lodge or Rweteera safari park

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale’s 795 sq. km National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. The park is home to a number of forest wildlife, most notably the chimpanzees and the 13 primate species. After trekking, you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi wetland before we embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening.

Day 7: Game drive and lunch cruise
You will go for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, where you will spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then in the afternoon, you will go for a lunch cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, an exquisite cruise will bring you up close and personal with the sights and sounds of the various water birds.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, we embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park with a stopover for lunch enroute, arriving at Bwindi later in the afternoon.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking – Bwindi
You will have early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for briefing by the Park Rangers and later embark on an incursion into the forest for trekking until you encounter the mountain gorillas. This could take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend at least one hour with these gentle giants and later return to the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
You will enjoy breakfast before moving to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale where you will arrive well on time for Lunch. Enjoy lunch in Kabale and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will embark on a boat cruise, visiting the different islands while enjoying the magnificent scenery and a lot of birdlife. You will encounter the local people and get to know about their ways of life as they display their craftsmanship and weaving skills by the ladies.

Day 11: Transfer to Nshenyi Village
You will have breakfast before moving to Nshenyi village, with a lunch stopover in Mbarara town. We then proceed to Nshenyi village, nestled in the rolling hills of the Ankole Kingdom for an unprecedented cultural experience.

Day 12: Full Day at Nshenyi Village
You will spend the full day in Nshenyi village and participate in all activities, at your pleasure. You will enjoy your stay at the charming and spacious farms, decorated according to the local customs, participate in milking cows with your bare hands, accompany children to school, and find out how matooke is prepared or follow the Kagera Trail to the natural border with Tanzania. Traditional dances and songs will punctuate your moonlit sky night, while a campfire warms the cool evening. Relax in the raw comforts of nature and explore the rural charm of untouched Africa. Nshenyi village is such a rare experience that will offer you indelible memories.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo, Game drive and boat ride.
You will have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park where you will arrive well on time for lunch. You will enjoy lunch at the lodge and later go for an afternoon boat ride where you will encounter enormous species of birds, the most gorgeous way to end your 15 days safari around Uganda.

Day 14: Game drive and Transfer back to Kampala
Enjoy early morning game drive, as the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, Klipspringer, Burchell’s Zebra and buffalo that freely graze in the Park. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch before driving back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator for photography and the equator experience. Proceed to Kampala arriving in the evening.

Day 15: Airport transfer
You will enjoy breakfast, before checking out of the hotel for Entebbe where you will visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (Entebbe Zoo), Ngamba Island, and then have lunch in Entebbe. You will later be transferred to the airport for departure, with indelible memories of this 15 days safari across Uganda.
